For my friend, Tina. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the good fortune to meet your Dad and be welcomed by your family at your Dad's birthday celebration. I can still 'see' him at the other end of the table and later, when Mike showed me the train engines, I knew your dad was waiting patiently in the car. A brief glimpse into the the life of a truly good man. My condolences to his wife and all his family.

Please add my condolences to Ray's family. Ray was a big part of my radio show on WGNT in the 70s. We had lots of fun on the air but what listeners didn't hear was the fun we had conversing before we went on-air. We talked about many things and I remember how excited Ray was when our first child was born. I also remember the tour Ray gave me up at the airport. I remember Ray wishing me God-speed when I moved west. He was a special guy and I will never forget him. Now, Ray..I wish you God-speed. May He keep you in the palm of His hand. Daddy... How will we ever be able to go on without you??? I know you always taught us that from the time we are born we are preparing to die.. You taught me so much... but I wasn't finished learning yet... I miss you so much already... even though I knew it was near.. it came before I was ready. I can only hope that you are playing with Terry and giving him all of the love that he missed out on for all these years. The hole that is left in my heart will never be filled, because there are no more men like you here. Thank you for the 43 years of unconditional love and guidance... You were such and inspiration to all that came in contact with you. I am so Proud to say that I was your daughter and I love you and miss you with all of my heart.

Tears streamed down my face when I saw you that way. I love you grandpa, I will love you everyday. As my tears raced down my face; I knew you'd soon be in a happier place. My love will follow you wherever you go. Oh how I loved you so. Although I feel sorrow and hate. You cant fight fate. You told me everything as time passed by and by. I never wanted you to die. We did a lot together throughout the years. Its time to wipe away the tears. I want you to know; I will never let you go. I know you loved me too. My heart will always be with you. Now its time to say goodbye. Until I see you again someday, when I die. Pop, there are so many things that you taught me and so many things that ive learned from the incredible man that you are. You truly are my hero. I could only hope to be 1/4 of the man that you are, and just know pop that no other man can ever fill your shoes. You were the father figure in my life as i grew up and up until the stroke that took the real you away from us. It has been a blessing to still have you in my life for the last 9 years since your brutal stroke. Im so blessed that I was able to know the real you and we're all going to miss the "Ray-isms" that you always made us laugh with. You are truly one of a kind pop. I love you with all of my heart and soul. R.I.P. My Pop <3

When I am gone, release me, let me go. I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears, But be thankful we had so many good years. I gave you my love, and you can only guess How much you've given me in happiness. I thank you for the love that you have shown, But now it is time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust That it is only for a while that we must part, So treasure the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear All my love around you soft and clear And then, when you come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

Dear Lois & family, My condolences and prayers are with you as we celebrate Ray's life. He was a great role model for me, even during the short time I knew him. When I lived the 2 short years in Huntington, WV, I grew to know and love you both as my "adopted WV parents" and I'm so honored to have you both as a part of my life, enriching it like God tends the needs of the world. You & Ray always cared about my well-being, made me laugh, shared in my joys, sorrows and sometimes just plain sadness when I left for home soon after 9-11. Your warmth was so comforting and soothing. I love you both, and will never let a day go by without being thankful for you two! God Bless you! I love & miss you! Sincerely, Michael D Trygstad
