1941 - 2023
 Helen Louise Fulks Lewis, 82, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1941, in Gassaway, WV, daughter of the late Roscoe and Lela Fulks. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan Lewis. She is survived by one son Michael Lewis (Lisa); one daughter Rebecca Lewis Harden; four grandchildren Katy Lewis Martin (Sam), Andy Lewis, Emily Harden Clary (Cody), and Allison Harden; one great grandson, Myles Clary; sister Jean Duren (Dave); and niece Susan Duren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Mike Lewis. Burial will be private at Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Helen hired me as a nurse extern then told me not to apply for a job anywhere else because she wanted me there. I greatly appreciate her and the opportunity she gave me at St Mary’s. I’m still there over 30 years later. Thank you Helen, you were a wonderful mentor.
