James Edward “Jim” Lacy, 76, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2023. He was born November 9, 1946 in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late, Cledith and Josephine Lacy. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Regina Law. He is survived by his wife, Laverne Lacy; two daughters, Sandra Sawyers (Keith) and Crissy Lacy (James Martin); one son, Pastor Jesse Lacy (Gail); one step-son, Richard Alderson; one sister, Vicki Taylor (Allen); five grandchildren, Alex Johnston, Jessica Sawyers, Savannah McMellon (Collin), Shannon Lacy and Sidney Lacy; great-grandchild, Kason McMellon; niece, Jennifer Reynolds; nephew, Steven Taylor; and a host of cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Jesse Lacy officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
